osteOXenon Flexible Cancellous Graft (Flex)

Characteristics:
Natural cancellous bone graft, enzymatically deantigenated, with preserved and partially demineralized bone collagen to make it flexible.

How to use:
For horizontal onlay grafts.

After skeletonizing the crest and exposing the site to be regenerated:
1) Open the blister
2) Shape the dry graft with sterile scissors
3) Hydrate the graft for one minute in sterile saline.
4) Position the graft in the receiving site and secure with osteosynthesis screws of suitable size
5) Protect the grafted site with a slow reabsorption protective membrane (see pericardium membranes Heart > LINK)
6) Carefully and appropriately release the flap and passively suture for primary tissue healing.

To protect the Schneiderian membrane following laceration:
1) Totally detach the sinus membrane
2) Open the blister
3) Shape the dry graft with sterile scissors
4) Hydrate the graft for one minute in sterile saline.
5) Place the graft under the sinus membrane by introducing it through the access window, holding it bent in a Ո with sterile tweezers. Release it for the graft to return to its original shape by lifting and protecting the sinus membrane.
6) Proceed with the insertion of the bone graft (granules and/or pastes) under the flex.
7) Close the access window with a suitable resorbable protective membrane (Heart LINK)

Transcrestal Schneiderian membrane elevation:
1) Prepare the implant tunnel according to the protocols of the implant system used
2) Hydrate the graft for one minute in sterile saline.
3) Cut the graft into 4 equal parts
4) Overlap the 4 portions of the graft and insert them into the implant tunnel
5) Compress the graft towards the sinus membrane directly with the implant until it is lifted.

General considerations for use and precautions:
The flexible grafts must absolutely be fixed with an adequate osteosynthesis system and protected by a slow reabsorption protective membrane (LINK Heart)

Indications of use:
Flexible couplings are particularly suitable for:
1) Horizontal onlay grafts in the jaw
2) Horizontal onlay grafts in the mandible
3) To protect the Schneider membrane if it is torn
4) Elevation of the Schneiderian membrane by transcrestal route
