Traditional scalers operate at frequencies between 5 – 15 kHz with an elliptical movement of the tip. The piezoelectric method moves the tip at approx. 30 kHz in a linear manner. The dramatically reduced pain makes ultrasonic ablation more appreciated by patients.

A stainless steel cap prevents damage to the front of the handpiece. The cap also provides perfect balance as the weight is pulled toward the front of the handpiece, balancing the weight of the tube. This eliminates traction on the hand.

Autoclaving a scaler handpiece after use is an essential part of the reprocessing procedure. Designed with the highest quality plastic to completely seal the inside of the handpiece, superheated steam attacks at 135°C (275°F) will not damage the scaler handpiece.
